Vancouver’s Omnicart Acquired by dlivrd Technologies

September 9, 2025 by Techcouver Newsdesk Leave a Comment

Philadelphia-based dlivrd Technologies has acquired Vancouver startup Omnicart’s proprietary platform to accelerate the growth of its off-premise technology built for managing complex, high-value delivery operations.

The deal gives dlivrd a system that links a customer’s order through to dispatch and delivery tracking, creating a unified process aimed at driving scale, consistency, and service excellence. Restaurants are facing mounting pressure to handle increasingly high-value off-premise orders with precision and speed, and the acquisition is designed to close the gap between order management and delivery execution.

“This acquisition is about giving operators the tools they need when performance matters most,” said Chris Heffernan, CEO of dlivrd Technologies. “By combining our delivery expertise with technology built for complex delivery execution from start to finish, we can ensure that every high-value order is handled with the accuracy and care it deserves.”

Founded in 2019 by Arya Rashtchian and Nader Samadyan, Omnicart built its reputation as a SaaS delivery operating system.

The company previously raised a $1.5 million funding round in late 2023 led by UK-based Foodhub, with support from Motion Metrics founder Shahram Tafazoli and Oracle data scientist Oleksiy Ignatyev. Omnicart’s flexible platform was designed to power delivery for a range of sectors, including food and beverage, cannabis, liquor, and consumer goods.

Under the new arrangement, Omnicart will continue to operate independently under the name Omnirev. The rebranded company will focus on building an AI-driven CRM platform for restaurants—software designed to automate outreach, streamline follow-ups, and drive sales.

“Our mission has always been to empower restaurants with greater control over their off-premise business,” said Rashtchian. “By selling our delivery and restaurant tech to dlivrd and doubling down on building an AI-driven CRM, we’re staying true to that mission.”

dlivrd plans to roll out the integrated platform to select partners later this year, with national availability expected in late 2025.
