Vancouver-based Glüxkind has been named to TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 for Rosa, its smart stroller designed to make everyday parenting a little easier.
The Parenting category selection recognizes a stroller that combines motor-assisted movement with features such as automatic rocking and integrated audio. TIME highlights Rosa’s ability to help parents navigate hills and soothe a child, while noting that the stroller is not intended to operate unattended.
For Glüxkind, the recognition builds on a growing record of local and international attention.
Techcouver profiled the company in September 2025 when it was a finalist for the startup category at the BC Tech Technology Impact Awards. At the time, the company reported that Rosa was already being used by parents across five countries.
Co-founder Anne Hunger described the company’s goal as creating a stroller that actively supports parents through the practical challenges of daily life. Rosa incorporates features such as automatic braking on slopes, self-rocking, and white noise.
That momentum continued this year when Glüxkind finished as a runner-up at Web Summit Qatar’s PITCH competition, following its earlier appearance on the competition’s Vancouver stage.
The company continues to develop Rosa’s connected features. Its companion app allows caregivers to adjust settings, control rocking, and share access, while software updates expand the stroller’s capabilities over time.
