Jetson today unveiled new products with an eye toward a more complete “connected home” system.
Founded in 2024, Jetson sells heat pump technology—named one of the World’s Best Inventions—directly to homeowners, using a direct, vertically integrated approach.
The Vancouver-born firm this week launched Jetson Water, a heat pump water heater, and Jetson Charge, a Level 2 EV charger.
Jetson Water draws heat from surrounding air, using about 75% less energy than a conventional electric tank, and can be controlled through the Jetson app.
Jetson Charge features whole-home energy tracking, adjusting charging speeds based on household demand levels.
Water and Charge join Jetson Air, the company’s heating and cooling system, meaning that homeowners can now run heating, cooling, hot water, and EV charging as one connected, intelligent system.
“Most people don’t think about their homes as a collection of energy systems,” says Stephen Lake, chief executive officer of Jetson Home. “They want hot water, a comfortable home, and a car that’s ready to go.”
“Our job,” says Lake, “is to make the equipment behind all of that more efficient and easier to live with, and to give homeowners a clear picture of how their home uses energy.”
Jetson has been expanding into the US following a substantial round of fundraising.
For example, over the summer Jetson expanded operations into California, which boasts a population roughly equal to all of Canada, which built on a launch in New York.
But expanding the product lineup is as critical as brooding geographical reach.
“Water and Charge are the next step toward a connected home,” Lake said.
